26/11/2010Anna Costantini is a graduate in Psychology and Psychotherapy of the specialist group and Psychosomatic Medicine. His areas of clinical, research and training is at the Group Psychotherapy and Psycho-Oncology. From 2003 he directed the Departmental Unit of Psycho-Oncology, Department of Oncological Sciences Sant'Andrea Hospital, 2nd Medical Faculty of the Sapienza University of Rome, is the Scientific Coordinator of the Master's Degree in Psycho-Oncology and relationship to the patient of the same University and Scientific Director of Courses Oncotalk 2004 - Italy to improve the doctor-patient communication skills. Teacher of the Psycho-Oncology Course Degree in medicine and in the Course of Specialisation in Haematology and Medical Oncology. Since 1988 he is employee of the NHS, where from 1988 to 1998 he worked in the psychiatric service and Psychology Service Hospital San Camillo Forlanini Hospital, and from 1999 to 2003 he coordinated the service of group psychotherapy in the management staff of the Department of Mental Health ASL Roma D. Collaborate with the two major world center for the study and treatment of cancer such as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (to adapt and study in Italy of a new psychotherapeutic intervention for patients with advanced disease, the Meaning Centered Group Psychotherapy ) and the MD Anderson of Houston - University of Texas (for teaching communication skills in medicine) and EORTC Quality of Life Group, the leading European organization for research on Quality of Life in Oncology (the study and development of questionnaires on quality of life). And Treasurer of the Italian Society of Psycho-Oncology, a member of the Certified Group Psychotherapist Psychoncology Society and the American Group Psychotherapy Association. He has published four books, including Practical Handbook for Psycho-Oncology, Psychology and Cancer. A guide to react (Pensiero Scientifico Editore) and time-limited group psychotherapy (McGraw-Hill Books), and over one hundred and fifty scientific papers in national and international journals with IF and book chapters. Studied as a hobby, practice, and dance the tango.
